Christmas is a busy time of year for most, but there’s always time for crafting!
With Christmas fast approaching, the time to think about wrapping and creating gifts has begun. I looked everywhere for a decent off the shelf label to match the wrapping style I was going for…but the commercially avaiable labels were limited and just not my style.
That’s where my Cricut came in! I used paper stock that I already had in my stash in red and tan, I used a bauble outline with various shapes cut out as silhouettes for a rustic feel. Each present was finished with a red/white striped twine and a red/tan wrapping paper.
We normally buy our family a christmas decoration each year, but this year to be different I decided to use my Cricut Explore 2 and DIY baubles from Spotlight. I used the Cricut Silver Glitter Vinyl to cut out the names, and used the leftover shapes from the tags in two of the decorations.
I used a fancy font called “Charlotte” for each name, with the exception of the one posted here for Pepper.
Pepper is my dog and it was only fitting for me to use the Bluey typeface for her. I added decoration filler to complete the decoration.
A handmade christmas gift is a wonderful treat. What have you created that is handmade as a gift?
